본 연구는 폭넓은 연구분야의 성과들을 자신의 방식으로 체계화한 니클라스 루만의 체계이론에 대한 신학적 성찰을 목적으로 한다. 위르겐 하버마스(Juergen Habermas, 1929-)와의 사상적 긴장과 대립각의 양상으로만 비추어졌던 니클라스 루만의 사유가 실재의 보편적 본성을 진술하는 ‘사회체계이론’으로서 매우 주목되는 상황에서, 그가 던진 체계(System), 환경(Umwelt), 자기생산(autopoiesis), 모순(Paradox), 관찰(Beobachtung), 신(Gott)을 포함한 다양한 지적인 성과들이 어떠한 종교적이고 신학적 함의를 지니는가를 헤아리는 것이 이 연구의 핵심 목적이다. 특히 이 연구는 현대사회를 분석하기 위한 신학적 방법론의 구상에 루만의 사유가 어떠한 통찰을 줄 수 있는가를 주목한다. 이를 통하여 21세기의 다층적이며 다차원적인 현실을 풍요롭게 조명할 수 있는 신학적 방법론과 담론화의 가능성을 탐색하고자 한다. 본 연구는 니클라스 루만의 사유가 지닌 창발성의 존재론의 성격을 검토할 것이다(II). 그리고 니클라스 루만 사상의 배경을 다룰 것이다 (III). 더 나아가서 니클라스 루만의 사상과 신학과의 대화 가능성을 조명할 것이다(IV). 마지막으로 니클라스 루만의 사상이 신학에게 주는 통찰과 의미를 결론으로서 제시할 것이다(IV). 주 제 어 니클라스 루만, 사회체계, 체계이론, 구성주의, 체계, 관찰, 신, 종교, 학제간 신학 논문목차:

Publisher: Hanshin University, Theological Faculty Abstract: This is a theological study of the Systems Theory of German Sociologist Niklas Luhmann(1927-1998). Luhmann used his unique perspective to systematize the results of research into various fields of study including sociology, philosophy, law, economy, communication theory, mass media, ecology and even religion. His Systems Theory based on interdisciplinary studies attracts especially researchers interested in the multi-layered dimensionality of our world. His theory is being applied or used worldwide by academic societies and other scholars. Although there have yet been few theologians involved in discussing Luhmann’s Systems Theory, there are indeed implications for this field. This study attempts to elucidate what theological-religious implications his intellectual achievements have for concepts such as “System”, “Umwelt”(environment), “Autopoiesis”, “Paradox”, “Beobachtung”(observation) and “Gott”(God). Through dialogues with Niklas Luhmann’s systems theory we can expect important results from interdisciplinary works involving theology.
